Unity Sanctuary

Y’all Means ALL

If you’re here for the first time, welcome! You can expect a casual, friendly atmosphere and a meaningful service led by Rev. Neusom Holmes or an inspiring guest speaker. The music is exceptional. Tim Smith and Jay Wright, mainstays in the Triangle music community, lead our choir and guest musicians in bringing joy and talent to new and familiar songs that enhance the Sunday morning message.

Sunday service times, small group meetings, and youth ministry, as well as parking and directions can be found here. For first time guests, we have specially marked parking spots directly across from our front entrance.

Come as a Guest, Leave As a Friend

You can choose your level of interaction during any visit. We hope that you come curious and enjoy the kind, judgment-free environment and thoughtful message. We have greeters and plenty of knowledgeable people on hand if you have questions about Unity or where the coffee is located. (It’s in the Fellowship Hall, by the way.) We tend to enjoy each other’s company, which we do in the Fellowship Hall after each Sunday service. You’re welcome to join the conversation and the snacks. We’d love to know how you found Unity of the Triangle. We welcome you to fill out guest card when you come, or you can do that with the click of the button.

Ways to Engage

Throughout the week we offer a variety of services, events, spiritual growth, mindfulness and personal transformation classes, plus volunteer and community service opportunities. Check our calendar to see what’s coming up. Read more about our church community, ways to participate, and how to become a member.  Whatever your interests, there’s a good chance you’ll find kindred spirits here.

A great way to get to know us is to subscribe to our newsletter. The newsletter is the way to stay up-to-date on all the ways we’re building Unity in our Community! You can also follow us on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Unity

We open our hearts and awaken our minds through Sunday services, spiritual education classes, small group gatherings, meditation, affirmative prayer, and service to others.

About Unity and Its Values

At the center of Unity thought you’ll find a dedication to love without judgment and an emphasis on personal spiritual practice. Because of this core understanding, there is a place here for everyone, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. While Unity is sometimes referred to as “practical Christianity,” it is rooted in the wisdom of many traditions applied through a Christian lens. Unity was founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in the 1800s as a movement rather than a religion. As the community has grown, the beliefs surrounding it have continued to develop.

  • God is.

God, by whatever name, is the source and creator of all. There is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere. God is not a far-off ruler on a throne. God is wherever we are because God is within us. Each of us is a unique expression of God.

  • I am.

We are spiritual beings created in God’s image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore all people are inherently good. Our truest nature is divine. Our greatest gift to others is to recognize the Christ consciousness and limitless potential in everyone.

  • I create it.

The way we think and feel determines how we deal with and experience events and circumstances in our lives. Our thoughts take shape, develop, and grow into what we focus on.

  • I pray it.

We connect with and know God through affirmative prayer and meditation. These tools bring out the good in our lives and align us with our own Christ consciousness. We pray not to change God but rather to change ourselves and open ourselves to God.

  • I live it.

Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough. We live them so we can strengthen our spirit. When we live our best according to the truth we know, we become a light to others. We can make a difference in the world.
