Rebalance Series – Restorative Yoga with Kimber Quinby

Restorative Yoga is a type of yoga known for its relaxing, calming and healing effect. It has its roots in the Yoga of B.K.S. Iyengar, who developed a yoga that allows students to practice without any strain or pain. This was developed into a whole style of Yoga which was considered ideal for those recovering from injuries or illnesses.  Restorative Yoga systematically relaxes the body,  by gradually calming the nervous system.   This can help alleviate physical tension,  stress, anxiety and promote an inner sense of calm and well-being.
Kimber Quinby, the facilitator, started practicing Yoga in 2008 at a local hot yoga studio and found a new passion in teaching at the beginning of 2019.  She has since acquired certifications in Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and a 200-hour Meditation certification in 2021. In 2021, she founded Bridge2Yoga.  More recently, in 2024, she completed her 500-hour RYT,  3 Wisdom Wellness Coaching certification through Yoga International and a Health & Wellness Nutritional Coaching certification from Harvard Medical School.
