Rebalance Series – Yin Yoga with Kimber Quinby

Yin Yoga is slow, methodical and cool on the outside but stokes your inner fire and asks you to rise to meet a personal challenge. Yin is about softening and melting muscles of the body while gently stressing your joints and connective tissues. This is great for building or continuing joint mobility in hips, spine and shoulders. You do not need a lot of flexibility to enjoy this class. This class can also reduce the stress and tension you hold in your body. Each posture is held for 3-5 minutes, props are encouraged to assist with support and allow your muscles to relax and the joints to re-lubricate. This practice is not recommended for anyone with Osteoporosis.
Kimber Quinby, the facilitator, started practicing Yoga in 2008 at a local hot yoga studio and found a new passion in teaching at the beginning of 2019.  She has since acquired certifications in Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and a 200-hour Meditation certification in 2021. In 2021, she founded Bridge2Yoga.  More recently, in 2024, she completed her 500-hour RYT,  3 Wisdom Wellness Coaching certification through Yoga International and a Health & Wellness Nutritional Coaching certification from Harvard Medical School.
