What is Sisterhood Saturday?
On the first Saturday of each month, Unity of the Triangle invites you to a special women’s spiritual group in Raleigh. Women of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences explore spirituality, express your authentic self, and feel the power of being truly seen. This circle of women holds space for one another. We recommend bringing a journal to capture insights, inspiration, and moments of self-discovery.

Birthing Your Authentic Self: Uncovering the Soul Within

Sisterhood Saturday in October will focus on the opening of Elizabeth Lesser’s TED Talk, “Say Your Truths and Seek Them In Others,” which she presented to TED Women. Lesser is an author, speaker, and cofounder of the Omega Institute.
In the first few minutes, she shares what she learned as a midwife early in her career: each of us comes into this world with unique worth, an unapologetic selfhood, and a spark she calls the soul.
As we grow up, we begin to cover up that soul to fit in, layer by layer. Things happen to us that make us want to hide our authenticity, and she labels this as ADD – authenticity deficit disorder.
What to Expect at Sisterhood Saturday
We will explore our lives from the perspective of the birthing process with the key questions of:
· How have you covered up your authentic self, the unique spark that you were born with?
· How do you stay open, even when things are painful?
· What has the pain come to deliver?
· What new wants to be born?
· How are you blocking what wants to be born?

Sisterhood Saturday is an interactive women’s spiritual group led by Unity’s Interfaith minister Rev. Tami Johns. With a spiritual message, music, prayer, reflection, and meaningful dialogue, we invite women of all ages to a sacred space of connection, spiritual growth and renewal.
For generations, women have gathered with their grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and friends to navigate life’s joys and seasons together. Let’s carry on that tradition! Come as you are. Bring the women in your life—or come to find your new circle of sisterhood.
