Have you wanted to explore your life’s journey through writing but you weren’t sure where to begin?
This four-week workshop integrates thought-provoking writing suggestions and mindfulness-based
exercises to inspire you to write about your hopes, challenges, and sorrows, distilling core truths
(personal and spiritual) through the process of finding your ‘heart voice.’ This workshop can support
people process their life and proceed on their spiritual journey as a Wise Elder.
Led by award-winning author and teacher June Guralnick (and recent 2022 Raleigh Medal of Arts
recipient) in partnership with Gestalt therapist Linda Giles, the workshop delves into different forms of
writing (prose, poetry, journaling, letter-writing) as a path to self-discovery and reflection, with the goal
of gaining insight and compassion for self and others.
Welcoming all writers and non-writers (no previous writing experience needed) in a nurturing, uplifting
space, the workshop offers a supportive group environment for self-expression and connection. The
sharing of written work during class is always optional.
