Meat dishes\, appetizers\, casseroles\, side dishes\, salad\, drinks\, and desserts will be welcomed by all. Please label your dish with the ingredients and note if it’s gluten and/or dairy free\, vegan\, vegetarian\, etc. \nVolunteers needed\nMany hands make light work! DESCRIPTION:How would you like to express your musical talent? That’s what happens with Open Mic Night\, every first Thursday of the month at 7 pm. There’s talent\, creativity\, emotion\, connection\, courage\, and fun! All are welcome to sing\, play – or just enjoy the music! \nThere are two ways you can participate\nIN-PERSON in the Fellowship Hall\nThere will be a sign-up sheet available on Thursday – everyone is invited to select a song to play/sing or accompany others. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Unity will provide a PA with inputs for instruments and USB as well as microphones\, so individuals can choose to use instruments\, play solo\, or sing along to recorded music. \nVIA PRE-RECORDED VIDEO\nSend a video recording of your performance to the unityavteam@unitytriangle.org by the Sunday before the third Thursday. Recording will be played during on site but will not be streamed. \nYour file will likely be too large for emailing\, so you’ll need to send it another way. People have had good results with wetransfer.com\, a free service. Now is the time to set the tone for your life in 2026! \nJanuary 18\, 2026\n“LONG ARC OF JUSTICE”\nWith Rev. Neusom Holmes\, The Unity Choir & Youth Blessing\nThis Sunday we will honor Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr\, and the long arc of justice as we celebrate the power of our oneness! \nSpecial Events & Schedule for January 18th Sunday Experience:\n10:00 – 1:00pm WEEK 2: UNITY MERCHANDISE PRE-SALE! Sweatshirts\, quarter zip long sleeve shirts with the Unity theme for 2026. These will only be available via this pre-sale in person through the Higher Shelf Bookstore & Gift Shoppe. \n10:30 – 10:50a:a Pre-service guided meditation with Rev. Neusom. \n11:00 – 12:00pm: Sunday Service. You can watch online 11am Sunday service or on Facebook or Youtube. \n12:00pm:  Food\, Conversation and Community in the Fellowship Hall after service! \n12:15pm: 1-on-1 with a Prayer Chaplain. They are in the back of the sanctuary wearing a purple name tag. \nSpiritual Small Groups\n12:30 – 1:30pm: FIRST MEETING! NextGen Unity– Young adult movement for spirituality and activism led by Youth Ed Director Tia Redman. \n12:30 – 1:30pm: Veterans – Invite a veteran friend! \n12:30 – 1:00pm: Power of Eight Prayer Group – Harnessing the miraculous energies of a small group to heal others\, your life\, and the world. \nOur 2026 theme is: In a World Divided\, Choose Unity!\nWith many special events\, topics\, and unique Sundays planned. SUMMARY:Reiki Healing for Congregants
DESCRIPTION:What is Reiki Healing?\nReiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low\, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress\, and if it is high\, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. \nThe word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.” \nSunday Reiki Sessions for Congregants!\nAre you feeling out of balance or stressed? To support the spiritual growth of our congregation\, we are excited to offer Reiki energy healing to our community. Unity of the Triangle is blessed to have many Reiki healers in our congregation. They will be offering 15-minute Reiki Healing chair sessions once a month for the congregation on the third Sunday of every month in the Meditation Room upstairs. Sign up is required and will be available day-of at the Welcome Desk in the lobby before Sunday service. These sessions will be popular!
