SUMMARY:Christmas Angel Tree | Wake County Guardian ad Litem Community Project
DESCRIPTION:Shine Your Generous Light!\n2025 Christmas Angel Tree\nA Unity in the Community Project Benefitting Children in Foster Care Through the Wake County Guardian ad Litem Program\nNovember 16 – November 30\nFor over 20 years\, Unity of the Triangle has provided Christmas gifts to children and teens in the Wake County foster care system through our Christmas Angel Tree. This an opportunity to share our love and generosity with these kids and teens during the holidays. We know from doing this so many years what a meaningful difference this makes in their lives! \nImportant Dates!\nAll Angels need to be claimed by November 23. \nGifts returned by November 30. \nBagging of all gifts will be done by the Unity Christmas Elves and delivered to social workers on December 8. \n__________________________ \nHow Does The Angel Tree Work? \n\nLook for the special Christmas tree at Unity with tags on it. Each tag will include the wishlist for a specific child.\nPick one (or more!) tags.\nTake the tag(s) to the lobby desk and register the tag. This allows our volunteer elves to know who has what gift tag.\nWrap each present. Write each child’s name on a corner of the present. Attach the Angel tag with one piece of tape.\nBring wrapped gifts back by November 30th. Collection will be in the Fellowship Hall.\n\nHow much is each tag on the Angel Tree? \nWe have tried to make each Angel tag on the tree represent a child’s specific request. Each Angel tag will be approximately $40. Larger items may involve two Angel tags. Our intention is to provide approximately $150 in gifts or gift cards for each child\, which will allow for both “fun items” and basic needs such as coats\, winter shoes\, clothing\, etc. \nCan I give money to the Angel Tree project instead of buying gifts? \nYes! This year we are accepting credit cards so if you prefer to make a donation\, we will use that money to fulfill the wishes of an Angel on the tree. Any leftover money will be donated to the Wake County Guardian ad Litem program.  If you select an Angel tag and the child has requested a gift card\, bring that tag to the desk and pay $40 with cash or card\, and we will purchase the gift card for you\, saving you from the store’s added gift charge. \nImportant Reminder!\nAfter you select an Angel tag from the tree\, please remember to register it with a Christmas Angel Elf (likely at the counter in the lobby) so we can track all the angel tags to make sure all children have gifts by the deadline of Dec. 7\, 2025. \nWhat is the Wake County Guardian ad Litem Christmas Angel Project?\nThe children and teens represented on the Unity of the Triangle Angel Tree are a subset of children who are in the Wake County Guardian ad Litem Christmas Angel project. The program provides gifts for children in the foster care system\, including new clothes\, toys\, and other items to create a sense of normalcy for the children. The project also helps to fund other initiatives\, such as educational support and camp grants\, to help children thrive throughout the year. The Christmas Angel Tree is one of our annual Unity in the Community service projects. \nWe are a spiritual community awakening to our Divine nature through love\, service\, and personal transformation.

SUMMARY:The Sunday Experience | "The Field Between Right & Wrong" with Rev. Neusom & The Unity Band
DESCRIPTION:Sunday Nov 16 @ 11am\nBook Study Week 3\n“The Field Between Right & Wrong”\nWith Rev. Neusom Holmes & The Unity Band\nThe Sunday Experience is the spiritual highlight of the week! This is week three of a four-part series based on the book\, Don’t Believe Everything You Think. The main teaching of this book reminds us that we can separate pain from suffering. \nIn Don’t Believe Everything You Think\, Joseph Nguyen echoes Rumi’s idea of “the field beyond right and wrong” as the space where the mind’s judgments fall away and pure awareness remains. It’s the place within us that exists before thought — where peace\, love\, and connection are not earned or argued for\, but naturally present. When we stop dividing experiences into good or bad\, right or wrong\, we reconnect with that deeper consciousness that sees all as part of one flow. In this field\, we don’t have to win or defend — we simply are\, resting in the truth beneath all opinions and beliefs. \n*Note: You do not have to be reading the book to get value from the Sunday talk during the book study weeks\, but we think you’ll really enjoy the book!  \nRead more about the book study and how to participate in a weekly book study group led by Rev. Michael Gadway.\n\nSpecial Events & Schedule for November 16th Sunday Experience\n10:00 – 1:30pm: One Day Only! Holiday Market featuring unique handcrafted gifts\, art\, and jewelry. \n10:00 – 1:00pm: Christmas Angel Tree Project Kick-off – Benefitting children in Wake County Foster Care \n10:00 – 10:30a:  Sign up for Reiki healing chair session after service at 12:30. Limited spots available. \n10:30 – 10:50a: Pre-service guided meditation with Rev. Neusom. \n11:00 – 12:00p: Sunday Service. You can watch online 11am Sunday service or on Facebook or Youtube. \nFood\, Conversation and Community in the Fellowship Hall after service! \n12:15pm: 1-on-1 with a Prayer Chaplain. They are in the back of the sanctuary wearing a purple name tag. \n12:30pm: Power of Eight Prayer Group in the Green Room — all are welcome. \n12:30pm: Veterans Group in the upstairs Conference Room – drop ins welcome! \nWe know the power of gathering. The collective positive energy and love when we come together is bringing Unity to our community. Come and be part of something special! We look forward to seeing you.
