She can assess homes for safety and functionality to meet the demands of aging-in-place. Deb also has many years of experience as an occupational therapist and uses that knowledge to educate consumers on Decluttering and Downsizing home spaces. She has been serving seniors in the Raleigh area since 2000\, and has been a member of Unity of the Triangle since 1993. \nWho Should Come To This Free Senior Wellness Workshop in Raleigh?\n\nYou’re an independent adult who wants to live fully today while approaching the future with purpose\, clarity\, and peace of mind\nYou are considering or planning to downsize and move\nYou want to declutter your home but don’t know where to start\nYou want to make your home as safe as possible for you with an intention of aging in place\n\nWhat is Aging In Place?\nMany people want the same things as they get older: to stay in their own homes\, to maintain independence for as long as possible\, and to turn to family and friends for help when needed. Staying in your own home as you get older is called “aging in place.” But many older adults and their families have concerns about safety\, getting around\, or other daily activities. Living at home as you age requires careful consideration and planning. This article offers suggestions to help you find the help you need to continue to live independently. \nA Welcoming Senior Wellness Experience at Unity of the Triangle\nUnity of the Triangle is proud to offer senior wellness programs in Raleigh that support aging well\, independence\, and lifelong learning.
