DESCRIPTION:After checking with the Unity Open Mic Weather Department\, we have concluded that this coming Thursday evening will be perfect for the first Open Mic Night in 2026.  Yes\, despite the cold wintry weather over the last couple of weeks\, things will be heating up in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday when we’ll come together for some good music\, tasty snacks and drinks\, and a great evening of talent and fun. \nThere’s a variety of music planned for the evening — bluegrass\, old standards\, folk rock\, R&B\, and more. We have some people who will be performing for the first time\, and they’ll need your support and maybe even your voices. DESCRIPTION:How would you like to express your musical talent? That’s what happens with Open Mic Night\, every first Thursday of the month at 7 pm. There’s talent\, creativity\, emotion\, connection\, courage\, and fun! All are welcome to sing\, play – or just enjoy the music! \nThere are two ways you can participate\nIN-PERSON in the Fellowship Hall\nThere will be a sign-up sheet available on Thursday – everyone is invited to select a song to play/sing or accompany others. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Unity will provide a PA with inputs for instruments and USB as well as microphones\, so individuals can choose to use instruments\, play solo\, or sing along to recorded music. \nVIA PRE-RECORDED VIDEO\nSend a video recording of your performance to the unityavteam@unitytriangle.org by the Sunday before the third Thursday. Recording will be played during on site but will not be streamed. \nYour file will likely be too large for emailing\, so you’ll need to send it another way. People have had good results with wetransfer.com\, a free service. Contact David at unityavteam@unitytriangle.org\, or Dan at danwilk44@gmail.com\, if you need help making or sending us your recording. \nOur Open Mic Night is open to all comers\, so feel free to tell others and encourage them to add their voices. DESCRIPTION:*This is a required class to join the church.\nIf you’re thinking of joining the church\, this pre-membership class is for you!\nWith information\, videos\, discussions and activities specifically designed for people who are considering membership\, new member classes are currently held twice a year. Attending this class does not commit you to joining the church\, but will give you everything you need before making the decision. \nJoining the church is a way to commit to your own spiritual growth and the growth of our spiritual community. Members help set the direction of the church by voting on the budget and bylaws\, and through opportunities for service on the Board of Directors and committees.
