Rebalance Series – Yoga Nidra with Beth Briggs

Yoga nidra is an ancient meditative practice of expanded conscience relaxation and awareness that promotes emotional healing and helps establish a strong mind-body connection.

In Sanskrit, the term “yoga nidra” means yogic sleep but during the session, the practitioner hovers between a state of sleep and wakefulness leading to an experience of inner peace and well-being.

Unlike other forms of yoga, yoga nidra doesn’t require any complicated asanas, or poses. It simply involves lying down in a comfortable position as your guide takes you through the meditation.

Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, and light blanket. If you are not comfortable lying on the floor, you can sit in a chair.

Beth Briggs, the facilitator, received her certification in Yoga Nidra from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center under the direction of Dr Marc Halpern, Director of The California College of Ayurveda.
