Message from Neusom

Reverend Neusom Holmes wearing blue suit, white shirt, smiling in Unity of the Triangle sanctuaryr

As we flow into 2026, I’m present to the power of our collective vision for our spiritual community. After declaring 2025 a “Year of Intention,” we have much to be grateful for: attendance was up, income was healthy, classes were powerful, small groups thrived, and the children led us in silly joy songs! The ministers delivered the keynote at UMMAS. The Christmas concert and reception wowed. The staff came together in new levels of partnership to deliver it all. We deepened spiritually, together. It was a very good year, and we thank you for your part in it.

In 2026, our theme is “In A World Divided, Choose Unity.” This year holds promise for us to build powerfully on last year’s expansion. You will hear more soon about our vision for an expanded spiritual education department, more outreach to the wider community, and the creation of Next Generation Unity.

We will continue to strengthen ourselves, and this community, so we might brighten and serve. The need has never been greater for our time, talent, and treasure to expand our spiritual community that shines in a world divided. I humbly ask for you to consider making a pledge to help us continue our work in 2026!

Blessings,

Neusom

PLEDGE YOUR INTENTION OF GIVING FOR THE YEAR.

Pledges help us better forecast our revenue for the year, meet our responsibilities of running the church, manage the costs of maintaining the building, and make faithful and confident financial decisions about things such as programs and community outreach. It’s also a wonderful intentional act for each of us to consider how important this spiritual community is to us.

STEP 1: DECLARE YOUR INTENDED DONATIONS FOR 2026

Use the form below to start your pledge. This isn’t a contract. It’s simply a declaration how you intend to financially support your church this year.  You can give more or less as your life warrants. Once you SUBMIT your pledge, scroll down for Step 2!

STEP 2: SET UP YOUR FINANCIAL TRANSACTION

Use this easy form to execute your pledge! Choose “give to tithes”, then choose the frequency of your donation and how you’ll pay it. Choose yearly for an annual lump sum donation.

*If you already use automatic giving, please see the NEED HELP and/or FAQ section before setting up a new transaction.

NEED HELP?

Please contact Mary Graham for any of the following:

  • You are already using automatic giving and wish to link it to your pledge or change your donation
  • You wish to make donations by gifting stock or required minimum distributions (RMD)
  • You don’t see the frequency option you’d like to use for payment
  • You have any other questions about donating

You can reach Mary in person during church office hours or via email (mary.graham@unitytriangle.org).

Thank you for helping us build our future!

2026 Pledge FAQs

The pledge form is simply a written declaration of what you intend to contribute for the 2026 calendar year. The pledge form is not an actual donation transaction; think of it as a statement of your intention for giving in 2026.

Your pledge will help us budget our revenue for the year, allowing us to plan more programs and expand our ministry. It’s also a wonderful intentional act for each of us to consider how important this spiritual community is to us.

Making and fulfilling your pledge is an easy two-step process. You can do all this right on this page!

Step 1: Fill out a pledge using the form on this page. If you received a pledge letter and card in the mail, and prefer to use that method:

  • Fill it out and turn it in at the at the Welcome Desk.
  • If mailing, send to Unity of the Triangle, 5570 Munford Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612 ATTENTION: 2026 PLEDGE

Step 2: THIS IS IMPORTANT! Set up the financial transaction on this page or by seeing Mary Graham.

Yes, please! The pledge form tells Unity three important aspects of your 2026 giving which helps with our budgeting: 1) how much you intend to give in calendar year 2026; 2) when you plan to give, e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.; and 3) how, e.g., by bank draft, credit card, check, etc.

Yes.  Pledging and donating are two different processes. The pledge form declares your intention for giving in the 2026 calendar year.  If you are already using auto draft or a credit card and wish to increase or change your donation, see below.

ANY CHANGES YOU WISH TO MAKE THROUGH AUTO-DRAFT OR CREDIT CARD MUST BE MADE BY CONTACTING MARY GRAHAM in person or via email (mary.graham@unitytriangle.org).  She will make sure this is done correctly and that there are no duplicate drafts.

The amount you contribute is a personal decision.  We all have multiple considerations which affect our financial flexibility – and these can change over time.  We only ask that you consider how important your Unity spiritual community is to you, and to recognize the real and escalating costs required for Unity to provide our many programs and ministries.

On the average, it costs Unity about $2,400 per congregant to operate the church and support all our programs. About 92% of our revenue each year comes from your donations.  For 2026, we will need $672,000 in congregant contributions to meet our budget.

Our Treasurer will send out quarterly giving updates to congregants with updates of year-to-date giving, including a reference to your annual pledge. Because financial conditions can change throughout the year, we know some congregants may be able to give more, and some less, than originally pledged.

Life happens with the best of intentions! Your pledge is not an actual donation transaction so there is no consequence or action you need to take. If you’ve already set up a bank transaction associated with your pledge that you need to change, please see Mary Graham (email: mary.graham@unitytriangle.org) to make changes.

Your generosity makes a lasting impact at Unity of the Triangle.

While one-time and recurring donations help sustain our mission, there are many ways to contribute beyond traditional giving. Whether you’re interested in planned giving, workplace matching, or supporting us in-person, every gift helps create a thriving spiritual community.
